Manual Therapy International Tokyo (MTI Tokyo) is a non-profit organization for physical therapists in Japan who wish to learn about the latest advanced medical knowledge and techniques.

MTI Tokyo invites outstanding clinicians and instructors from various countries to Japan. Participants can learn the latest medical techniques and knowledge through lectures, demonstrations, labs, and discussion. Participants can utilize the skills immediately after the lecture, and thus will improve physical therapy in Japan.

Unfortunately, the right to private practice for physical therapists has not been established in Japan. In many countries in Europe and North America, physical therapists have the right to open their clinic and physical therapy is therefore readily available to the public.

We strongly believe that physical therapists in Japan will also acquire the right to private practice in the near future, and our activities will help them prepare for opening their own clinics.

In Japan, there are many companies that try to make contributions to advanced rehabilitation and medical technology through the promotion of their own products. However, since MTI is a non-profit that is not associated with any profit-making company, MTI Tokyo keeps an unbiased viewpoint while still introducing excellent medical technologies to physical therapists.
